A Quilter went down to Georgia

Hi everyone! I'm here in our new house in Georgia! We spent the first part of summer touring America, and the second half setting up our new house. We are loving the green trees and the pools in our neighborhood.

Today, I'd love to show you around my new studio! If you saw a previous reel on Instagram, I painted the whole room Repose Gray, just like my last studio in NM. I just love a fresh start with a new coat of paint. I'm all set up in our walkout basement with a gorgeous view of our lush backyard.

Betty is set up and running without any problems. It seems she likes it a little more humid. I've been able to use Glide thread a couple times with no problems, but then I started getting thread breaks. I'm not giving up yet though! She's a lot quieter here, mostly because of the carpeted floors and basement drop ceilings. She's almost too quiet though, I had to buy a camera so I could keep an eye on her when I'm upstairs! Here she is quilting my Yellow Brick Road quilt.

During our move, the movers broke my cutting table. Disappointing, but, it did allow me to start dreaming of what I could create that might be even better. I've always wanted a really large worktable, especially one that I could move and be able to use all four sides of. Pinterest led me to several great tutorials using IKEA Kallax shelves. It turned out amazing, and I'm so excited to get to work on new quilts!

Here's a view around the studio:

Hope you enjoyed the tour! Now, you'll have a better idea where your beautiful quilts get to hang out while I work on them! I'd better get back to work!

Let me know if I can help you finish your quilts! I'm ready!
